"Swastika" is a sanskrit word derived from the roots "su" which means goodness, and "asti", to be. Rotating in the correct, clockwise direction, the sacred symbol describes a wheel of positive force, the strength of life and perpectuation of relantionships between fellow man. The Swastika Bungalow innovatively combine traditional and modern Balinese architecture. Set in colourful tripocal gardens arround two swimming pools, sixtyfour spacious rooms are spread about the gardens in cottages and two-storey buildings.
Each room has its own verandah and bathroom, with bath, shower, hot & cold water. Family rooms interconnect, and there is a choice of airconditioning of fan-cooled rooms. For those who need to keep in touch with home, some rooms have international direct dial telephone.
The friendly staff provide 24-hour room service. There's a free safety deposit faculity. Call in at the front office to change your currency or post letters. Rental cars or minibuses can be arranged for tours about the island, and the staff are allways ready with information about what's on and whre.
The roof-top restaurants caters for breakfast, sandwiches and snacks, and there are two nearby family restaurants which offer a wide choice of cuisine. At the entrance to the Bungalows in the Swastika II Garden Restaurant, ideal for relaxing evening dining with a choice of Indonesian, Chinese and European food. Group arrangemnets can be made, and there are cosy corners ideal for intimate candlelight dining.
Swastika I Restaurant, just down the road, is also set arround a tropical garden. Fresh rock lobster, king prawns and salad are the house specialty. Try traditional Balinese cuisine, or choose from the wide selection of Indonesian, Chinese and European dishes.
